In 2018, D.H. Griffin, together with private partners, purchased the long-closed MillerCoors facility in Eden, NC. Recognizing its potential, Nestlé-Purina selected the site for a $300 million investment to build a state-of-the-art pet food facility, which is expected to bring up to 250 jobs to the area over the next five years.
We began with a comprehensive environmental site assessment, ensuring the property met all local regulations—essential for food and beverage operations. Our team then undertook selective demolition and dismantling, removing exterior processing structures, restoring the interior to a shell condition, and demolishing the outdated coal-fired power plant to make way for greener energy solutions.
With the demolition complete, D.H. Griffin Infrastructure and D.H. Griffin Contracting stepped in, handling utilities, storm systems, and mechanical and electrical work to seamlessly integrate the facility's old and new sections.
As a third-generation, family-owned company, we are proud to partner with businesses driving growth in the Southeast. Our commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction makes us a trusted name for projects big and small.
