Transforming History: D.H. Griffin Demolishes Valleydale Meat Packing Facility in Salem, VA

D.H. Griffin successfully completed the demolition of the former Valleydale Meat Products building in Salem, VA. The structure was on a prime real estate parcel but had been vacant for close to two decades. Originally built in the 1930's, the brick building was typical of what D.H. Griffin demolition and abatement teams find with historic structures.

The demolition project was handled by D.H. Griffin Wrecking's office in Roanoke, Virginia. This project was a natural fit for the DHG team who focus on industrial and commercial structures across the country.

The project involved mechanical demolition, utilizing D.H. Griffin's extensive fleet of specialized demolition equipment. D.H. Griffin has a dedicated facility in Greensboro, NC that takes all of our new machines and adds extensive safety and protection materials to protect our team members and prolong the life of our machines. This is just one of the ways that we live our values through our every day work and put our people first!
