Nestlé Purina Opening

In a momentous event, officials, community partners, and Nestlé Purina PetCare leaders gathered to celebrate the opening of their new pet food factory in Eden, North Carolina. This significant milestone, representing an investment of over $450 million, marks Nestlé's first manufacturing facility in the state. The facility, ingeniously repurposed from a former brewery, showcases cutting-edge technology to enhance production efficiency.

D.H. Griffin, along with several of its affiliated companies including D.H. Griffin Wrecking, D.H. Griffin Contracting, and D.H. Griffin Infrastructure, was tasked with the initial clearing of the site for the factory's construction.

The grand opening ceremony highlighted the creation of over 300 new jobs and underscored Nestlé's commitment to sustainability and renewable energy. Philanthropic gestures extended to local organizations, supporting workforce development and initiatives promoting pet-friendly outdoor activities.

Purina's community contributions include park renovations, aid for abuse victims, and support for animal shelters, aligning with its broader mission of fostering responsible pet care and supporting local communities.
