This morning, Triad Business Journal unveiled the third set of 10 Power Players, highlighting top executives from the region’s largest health system, financial institution, and university. This marks the eighth year TBJ has recognized Power Players, but this year introduces several key changes. Notably, TBJ has added a Legacy Award, with the inaugural honor going to Jim Melvin, former mayor of Greensboro and long-time head of the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation. A story and video on Melvin’s substantial contributions to Greensboro will be released Friday. The Legacy Award aims to celebrate a lifetime of leadership among the region’s most influential figures.
The Power Players list has also been refined to a Power 50 to reflect those actively addressing the region’s biggest challenges, including workforce preparation, real estate replenishment, and ongoing innovation. The addition of a “5 to Watch” category highlights leaders who are new or relatively new to influential positions.
The third group of 10 Power Players is presented below, with the final groups set to be revealed on Friday. Click on each name to learn more about their contributions.
