On Saturday, October 12, 2019, there was a collapse of a portion of the Hard Rock Hotel under construction at the corner of Canal and Rampart streets in the downtown New Orleans.

DHG was contacted by Samet/Barton Malow/SRS to assist them and the fire department in response to a fire that damaged new dorms under construction. DHG mobilized within hours and removed burned building closest to the street and surrounding buildings for safety purposes. DHG was contracted to perform the complete demolition of the 150,000 sf burned structure following the fire investigation.
