Turner Station Transformation: Duke Energy's Demolition Endeavor in Enterprise

Enterprise, Fla.

D.H. Griffin was selected to complete the demolition of the remaining units at the Duke/Progress Turner Power Plant. While the main facility was decommissioned in the late 1990's, a section of the power plant remained to supply energy during peak times. DHG completed the demolition and removal of four (4) peaker units, warehouse, generator step-up transformers(GSU), ancillary structures and components at Duke’s Turner Station. This included the removal of two (2) #6 Fuel Oil Tanks, an abandoned tank, and a service water tank and with associated piping. The site was finish graded and seeded.
