Duke Energy’s "Asheville Steam Station" Demolition and Decommissioning Project

D.H. Griffin successfully completed the Asheville Steam Station project for Duke Energy, which involved:
  • Phase 1: Decommissioning coal yard equipment, limestone/gypsum areas, and the FGD facility.
  • Phase 2: Demolishing two boilers, precipitators, SCR units, turbines, and coal bunkers

Prior to demolition, DHG Environmental worked with Duke Energy to pre-clean structures, while DHG
