New Chick-fil-A coming to Brevard Road in Asheville, replacing Ryan's Buffet

Ryan's Buffet on Brevard Road in Asheville is poised to be replaced by a new Chick-fil-A restaurant, as per recently revised plans submitted to the City of Asheville. This development follows a period of uncertainty during which the company gave mixed signals about the establishment's future.

The demolition of Ryan's Buffet occurred just last week, creating a noticeable void along the bustling road. Construction got underway following the issuance of permits by the city in August, as detailed in the planning documents submitted.

Back in 2022, reports indicated that the site was slated to become a Chick-fil-A, although earlier this year, Chick-fil-A had communicated that they had no new locations to confirm within the Asheville area.

Despite multiple revisions of the plans, the resubmission in August 2023 signaled the city's approval of a Level I planning permit and construction permits, effectively greenlighting the construction process.

Notably, the planning documents do not specify a fixed opening date for the Chick-fil-A on Brevard Road, situated in proximity to the Asheville Outlets. The new establishment is designed to incorporate an expanded parking area and a dual-lane drive-through.

As of the present, Asheville boasts four Chick-fil-A locations, with one more located in Arden.
